Students Out in Droves for Annual Messiah Ball

The Messiah Ball, hosted by the Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) and held immediately after the first performance of the Messiah, was a well-attended success. This ball was yet another opportunity to wear that tuxedo or that dress you HAD to buy instead of rent, and it was set apart from previous balls by the opportunity to gamble for prizes.

International Show 2008 Takes Audience Around the World

This year the International Show was an outstanding hit with the students. Everyone who attended enjoyed the experience. The show was full of good singing, dancing and funny jokes. The show had an amazing variety of dances and singing styles. Throughout the night, the passengers followed Rob Stegman on his adventures through 17 different countries.

Last edition of Cooking with Brendan before everyone goes home for winter break. In this edition we will remember the Great Fog of London which took place 56 years ago on December 5, 1952. A great fog clouded the entire city of London for four days. The cold caused people in London to burn more coal than usual which resulted in a higher rate of air pollution.

A sophomore, Kristina Straub, has been playing volleyball since her freshman year at Paint Branch High School. From Burtonsville, MD, Kristina is majoring in Management with a concentration in Accounting. She plans to become an accountant and eventually open a restaurant.

Women's Basketball Bounces Back

There are games that make a team reassess its game plan and then there are games that make a team believe in its game plan. The first four games of the season ended up in losses for the Hood women's basketball team. The third loss was a devastating loss to Drew University.
